This film starring Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fisher tells the story of a couple on the verge of a divorce. Their daughter is told the story of how they fell in love by the father and as he recounts the journey they had together he realizes that there is no other woman for him. Luckily for him the mother realizes this too and they reconcile as the profess their love for each other. This just shows that lasting love will never be easy, there will be down times for the couple. The important thing is to remember why you are together and that love is a decision you make every day.
Letters to Juliet
You will be getting a two for one love story in this movie not to mention the sentimental feel that letters bring to the story. This story follows Sophie who stumbles upon old letters from an elderly Claire about her old love. They try to find Lorenzo, Claire’s lost love, and in the process Sophie evaluates her own situation and is inspired by the long-lasting love Claire has for Lorenzo. Love comes in many forms and can draw inspiration from the most unexpected times and places. Love is something that cannot be swept aside if it is lasting love then it finds its way back to you.
About Time
This movie is more than another love story. Yes, it shows a story of a man who falls for a girl and does what he can to be with her. He even travels back in time multiple times to re-live and re-do certain instances in their relationship to get it right for her. Outside of that this is a story of a family that shows that lasting love is not just romantic but it is familial as well. Unconditional love is something shared by two people whether romantic or not. At the end of it all it is not about what you do right but making the most of every moment with the people you love.
There are many iterations of what lasting love can be. Love is unique for everyone and their definition of what love is may be different with yours. The key on this list is that it does exist and it comes in different forms. If you are lucky enough to find a love that you need and that person appreciates the love that you give hold on to that.
