Going by the aforesaid tagline, Brooklyn Nine Nine (2013- to present) is the new-fangled phenomenon on American Television. With just a season on air, it is already posing a sturdy competition to its contemporary comedies , like The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family and New Girl.This Golden Globe wining Sitcom is a mockumentary-esque workplace comedy and a supposed spoof of the popular legal drama, “Law and Order”. Brooklyn Nine Nine follows the story-arc of Detective Jake Peralta (played by Andy Samberg), his Boss, Captain, Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) and their team positioned at NYPD’s 99th Precinct. The show unravels the hilarious events and occurrences that take place in the office and how the characters work their assignments in their own unconventional and amusing ways.  Here follows a list of reasons how this series has achieved its own ground in no time and why it is a must watch for every sitcom lover.
