Pretty Woman (1990)

Pretty Woman is a modern-day fairy tale and, as we all know, fairy tales are often feel-good tales. This is Julia Roberts and Richard Gere at their finest.Men want her, and women want to be her… okay, well not her as in a “broke hooker living in a motel,” but her in a “hot red head who lands rich stunning businessman who buys her a new wardrobe.” By the end of the movie, there is a sweet smile on your face.

Once (2006)

I defy anyone to watch Once and not have a smile on your face at the end. It takes a few minutes to get used to, but once you start to appreciate Glen Hansard’s unique voice, you’ll get into the film rather quickly. I guess you could call it a musical, but don’t let that turn you off. Even better?
