From Joey’s “How you doin’ ” to Chandler’s sarcasm; From the chemistry of Ross and Rachel to Monica’s cleanliness and Phoebe’s amusing nature, F.R.I.E.N.D.S has been a constant in my life. For over ten years this show has taken over peoples’ lives with so much fun and laughter to offer its viewers.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S is an American television sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004. Show starcast includes Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer. The show revolves around six friends who are in their 20s and 30s and live in New York City.
The show was developed by Kauffman and Crane under the title ‘Insomnia Cafe’ in November and December 1933. The title of the show was changed a few numbers of times which included titles like ‘Friends Like Us’ and ‘Six of One’ before finally becoming F.R.I.E.N.D.S. The show had gained a lot of love from people, and it became the most popular television series of the time. Even today the show is a hit among the young people due to its humorous approach and witty comedy timing.
Who can ever forget that coffee house where the friends used to hang out? Who can ever forget Gunther’s sweet nature and his love for Rachel? Most importantly, who can ever forget Janice and her OH.MY.GOD!? I bet no one. Each of the actors has played their roles amazingly and made us fall in live with them so much that it is hard even to miss a single episode. 
Chandler Bing’s (Matthew Perry) sarcasm makes it hard for us to think about something sarcastically; Joey’s (Matt LeBlanc) pick up line is still so kinky; Ross’s (David Schwimmer) role as an amazing elder brother; Monica’s (Courteney Cox) picture perfect apartment; Rachel’s (Jennifer Aniston ) love for fashion and Phoebe’s (Lisa Kudrow) superstitious beliefs. Each of the characters leaves their kind of mark upon the viewers.
Even though the show’s last episode aired in 2004, even now when you watch any episode, it feels as though it just came out yesterday.
I still remember the first time I had watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S. I loved it so much that after that I couldn’t even wait for another episode. This show is loved due to many reasons; be it the humour, the comedy timing, the chemistry of Ross and Rachel and many more things but most importantly what made me attached to this show was the love among all these friends. Each one of them cares a lot for each other and that is what friendship is actually about. It makes you realise the value of friendship and that we all are incomplete without our friends. So folks, if you haven’t watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S till now, this summer is the perfect time to watch the show and have a little fun.
