This story revolves around two strangers Sutter and Aimee, who meet when they’re on different crossroads in life, and fall in love with one another. This film does not disappoint at all, and is very well executed on screen.

This book had already been made into a film prior to this one in 1939. This film has a different take on Brontë’s novel while keeping the principal storyline intact. It explores an unusual relationship developed between a rich farmer’s daughter and a poor boy taken in by her family.
The Time Traveler’s Wife (2009)

This story has a very out-of-the-box concept. It’s a story of a married couple wherein the husband possesses a certain gene enabling him to time travel and how the wife struggles to keep up with it.
The Princess Diaries (2001)
Based on ‘The Princess Diaries’ by Meg Cabot
This is one of the most entertaining teen book series, that consists of 10 books that are diaries of a teenage girl who discovers she’s actually a princess. The film presents the story of the first 2-3 books in detail where we go for a hilarious ride with the clumsy protagonist who is just another normal teen endeavouring through the transformation of going from a clumsy lady to a poised princess.
Me Before You (2016)

This film narrates the story of Lou, who takes up a job as Will’s caretaker. It shows us how they eventually bond and how he entirely changes her life and makes her happier. The book is more detailed and establishes their connection more convincingly, but the movie doesn’t disappoint either.
Love, Rosie (2014)
Based on ‘Where Rainbows End’ by Cecelia Ahern
This book has a very unique form of writing. It is entirely written in letters, most of which are written by the protagonists to one another and other friends and family members. The film has modified the story a little, but it’s worth a watch. It’s a story about two best friends who grow up side by side and eventually realise that they’re made for each other.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)
Based on ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ by Stephen Chbosky
This is a story about a nervous introvert, Charlie and his journey through high school. It valorises the importance that friends play in one’s life, and has a lot more to the story than just another high school romance.
PS I Love You (2007)
Based on ‘PS I Love You’ by Cecelia Ahern
The actors have done a fantastic job in this film and it manages to get you engrossed in the story right from the first minute to the last. This is a story about Holly, whose husband dies, but leaves a series of letters behind for her to help her deal with this loss and sadness.
The Fault In Our Stars (2014)

This is one of the most famous book adaptations. It’s a love story between two teenagers who are struggling with cancer. They run into each other at a cancer support group and come to be close to each other.

Another one of John Green’s novels adaptations is Paper Towns. This is the story about a boy who sets out on a search for his crush after she mysteriously disappears leaving behind a few clues.
